Lauren Gilmore is an award-winning communications expert and seasoned public affairs strategist.

She has advised a range of organizations—from emerging movements to global coalitions—on strategic communications, grassroots mobilization, and diplomatic engagement.

Lauren started her career in the nonprofit sector, heading all aspects of advocacy, communications, and media relations efforts to support donor and partnership development. Before founding BOLD, she was the commissioning editor for The Next Web, leading multiple user-centric initiatives for clients including ABN AMRO, Philips, Netflix, and Adobe. 

She is a partner at Hyperfocal Communications, where she helps plan grassroots movements, secure media coverage, and organize high-level events that bridge policy and public interest. A current resident of Malaysia, Lauren travels frequently to key regions to support advocacy missions on the ground and strengthen in-region networks.
